'Golowan' - Cornish for mid summer
This collection was created after spending time in London with my first millinery tutor from London College of Fashion (12 years from when we first met). My latest designs are inspired by timeless techniques that Susie Hopkins used throughout her career, which started in the couture work rooms of Paris in the 1950s. The collection therefore has a strong fiftees influence which you can see in the shapes of many of the hats.
My aim is to take the best of fashions from the past and modernise them with different colours and materials to create a contemporary yet timeless look.
With each headpiece made by hand, my creations are the opposite to fast-fashion and these classic designs will stand the test of time and remain wearable in years to come.
