Grooms style - feathered jewellery

Introducing our exciting collaboration with contemporary jeweller Justin Dunace.

Together we have blended our love of nature and Cornwall's wild spirt to create something unique for grooms to wear on their wedding day which they can treasure forever and wear again. Hand made in silver and or gold with natural feathers of the groom’s choosing to suit their wedding attire.

From his workshop in Newlyn, Justin and his small team create unique, ethical, wedding rings, pendants and cufflinks inspired by the rugged Cornish land and seascape.  Holly loves his designs so much she asked him to make something special for her.

Justin explains:

'My work is made using materials that surround me influencing their design and texture. This gives my jewellery meaning making pieces personal and individual to each customer. I had admired Holly's work for a long time and I really like the feathers she uses reminding us of the countryside and nature that surrounds us. This, along with her philosophy that we should have fun with what we wear and getting away from mass produced sameness chimed very well with my designs.''

The first feather button hole was made using found magpie and guinea fowl feathers, worn by Holly's now husband Nik On their wedding day.

Holly explains:

'Nik had a bespoke ring made by Justin, cast in sand from our favourite local beach. It has a crack in it to represent to rocks with three cognac diamonds trapped inside. It is so unique to Nik and we both love it. I had wanted to collaborate with Justin for some time so it seamed the perfect opportunity to make something bespoke for our wedding to match Nik’s ring. I asked Justin to make a pin cap for my popular feather button hole design, using his signature rough textured finish.

He made several prototypes to get the look and feel of the pin just right. Once we here happy I then chose feathers that went with the blue tweed of Nik’s waist coat and the spotty feathers in his favourite hat. The result was perfect and so nice for Nik as the groom to have two pieces of special jewellery’.

Each pin brooch is made to order in a choice of precious metals and finishes. Photographed here in either solid silver or solid silver with gold plated arrow detail. You can even commission matching cufflinks as pictured or have them containing a diamond or your initials engraved to make it extra special.
