Nothing beats the feeling of when you open up an email and It’s from a happy client showing you pictures from their wedding day! I often work with brides of the the course of a few weeks or even months, sharing with them the build up and excitement of their wedding plans. One email in particular brightened up my day recently from lovely bride Tanya who got married in August.
''Everyone absolutely loved the flower crown and I had so many people comment on 'how me' it was, they said, they couldn't have imagined anything better to sum me up as a bride as my flower crown. Thank you so much again, I love it...and may wear it around the house still, just because...''
When Tanya approached me to make her a bespoke flower crown, I jumped at the chance. I love it when brides want something unconventional and her colour pallet really appealed to me. The blues of the hydrangea flowers and silver grey lillies were designed to tone in with the groom’s outfit and the thistles in her bouquet. We chose berries with a dark blue, almost black hue to create a real contrast to the flowers.
Once we had our initial consultation, I went away and researched which different flowers I could source from my suppliers. Even though Tanya was local, to save time in her busy schedule, I emailed her different pictures of the flowers I had found for her approval and again at the different stages of production.
Tanya explains: ''Holly created the most beautiful flower crown for my wedding. From start to finish she was amazing and I could feel that she was as excited as me, about creating this piece. She kept me updated through the design process with photos of the creations and she took such care in creating such a unique piece. I absolutely love my flower crown and everyone commented on it throughout the day, it fitted my wedding theme perfectly. Thank you Holly for creating such a special item for me to keep forever.''
For me, I crave that magic moment of when my hair accessory is worn with the dress and the bride has her hair and make up done, the venue is styles, the bridesmaids are dressed up and of course, her handsome groom is waiting for her. I know that Tanya will cherish those memories (and her crown) for many years to come and I am honnored to have been a part of it!
