Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing OK and bearing up with the huge life changes we are all making at the moment.
The silver lining for me is that the current situation has given me time to experiment with some new ideas. I’ve been thinking about making jewellery for a while now but wanted to do so in a way which complemented my millinery style. Over the last week or so, I’ve been playing with feathers, making over sized sequins and throwing together new designs using fresh water pearls, crystals and brooches. All inspired by my S/S 2020 millinery collection which I launched in early March (see previous blog post).
With no weddings or races to attend in the near future, why not strut around your garden with luscious lock down lobes? Plus all of our Zoom parties surely require the best ear candy availabe right!?
I apologise for there being so many pictures of me, but I think my husband wouldn’t have suited them!
Many of the styles are one-offs but some can be made again in other colours or in slight variations. I’ve been selling these via my social media pages so some have already been snapped up. As an introduction price the earrings range from £8.50-£17 and the statement necklaces are £30 each including free UK delivery. Please email email@example.com to express your interest to buy as they are not listed in my shop.
I would love to know your thoughts, feedback and any ideas you would like to see me develop. To see my newest designs and videos of each of the pices in this blog, follow me at @HYMillinery on Instagram and Holly Young Millinery and Accessories on Facebook. Enjoy!
